Aybuke Yilmazer is a 2D animator using both traditional and modern methods. Her films are based on the visual and narrative appeal of the moving images.

Born in Turkey, Yilmazer grew up experiencing many branches of art such as painting, dance, music, and theater. Art became her way of communication and directed her interest in design. Yilmazer received her bachelor's degree in graphic design at Bilkent University in Turkey. During her education the limits of static design made her discover moving images. Currently, she is an animation master's student at the Rochester Institute of Technology.

She aims to combine graphic design knowledge with animation. She has a special interest in experimental animation because she believes this reactive way of working creates more originality.
